POLS 477 - Law and Development This course will explore the interface between law and processes of development. by looking critically at what is meant by “law”, we will explore the impact of law (however defined) on social and economic development. In so doing, the beneficial and detrimental impacts of law on development will be assessed. The influence of law in the domains of population, constitutionalism, and the environment, among others, will be considered. Prerequisites RHET 201, POLS 471 and 310. (3 cr.)
