POLS 416 - Race, Class and Gender: Theorizing Political Identity This course will survey a variety of contemporary trends in the political theorization of race, gender and class as they relate to the development of notions of identity in a historical context and as categories of political exclusion and inclusion. Special emphasis will be given to modern and contemporary concepts of identity, including notions of subjectivity, gender, race, culture, class and ethnicity. Prerequisites Six credits at 300 level in POLS. (3 cr.)
