EDUC 571 - Issues in Comparative Education for Classroom Teachers This course presents MA candidates in the Pre-K—12 Teacher Education concentration with major education debates, practices, and challenges which teachers throughout the world are faced with on a daily basis. The course addresses persistent and emerging themes, such as: professionalization of teachers and on-going career preparation; integrating technology into instructional practice; formal and informal learning; the role of assessment in instruction; standards-based instruction; and the on-going process of building school-home relationships which can help enhance student learning.
Prerequisites EDUC 511 and EDUC 521. (3 cr.)
