Prerequisites Consent of instructor.
Description Introduction to the analysis and design of nonlinear control systems. Linearization of nonlinear systems. Phase-plane analysis, Lyapunov stability analysis. Design of stabilizing controllers. Properties of adaptive systems, Adaptive control and real-time parameter estimation, Deterministic self-tuning regulators, model reference control, Adaptive observers, model reference adaptive control, gain scheduling controller modeling. Stability of adaptive control systems.
