ECON 2061 - Mathematics for Economists I (3 cr.)
Prerequisites or equivalent.
Description Algebraic methods. Calculus of a single variable. Composite functions, limits and asymptotes, continuity, simple and implicit differentiation, Taylor’s theorem, maxima and minima and points of inflection, logarithmic and exponential functions. Introduction to integral calculus. Applications to economic theory and business finance.
Students cannot take both MACT 1121 and ECON 2061 for credit.
