MENG 2202 - Introduction to Computational Thinking and Programming for Engineers Lab (1 cr.)
Prerequisites PHYS 1021
Description This lab is intended for students with no programming background. It teaches students solving engineering problems via the principle of programming and computing employing MATLAB. Topics covered include data types, arithmetic, scripts, user-defined functions, inputs, outputs, conditionals, loops, arrays, and modular programming. An emphasis is given to the visualization and graphical representation. Basics of software engineering introduced (code maintenance, debugging, and documentation). Accuracy and speed are discussed as limitations of engineering computation.
