ACCT 5211 - Accounting for Managers (1.5 cr.)
Prerequisites Co-requisite: ENTR 5211
Description This foundational course provides a working knowledge of accounting as an information system used by managers. The course primarily focuses on financial reporting by business entities covering the analysis of transactions, the different elements of financial statements, and the interpretation of financial information with its accompanying disclosures. Other areas also introduced include auditing, corporate governance, and basic managerial and cost accounting concepts. The course serves as a financial toolbox to be used in managerial decision making.
