ENGL 0312 - Listening and Speaking (for Graduates) (0 cr.)
Description
This course is designed to improve graduate students’ academic listening, speaking and oral communication skills. The course provides instruction on academic note-taking, outlining, presentation and oral communication skills. Emphasis is given to academic vocabulary building and formal presentation skills. Students taking this course are expected to enhance their listening and speaking proficiency skills through engaging with and analyzing a variety of audiovisual materials and academic lectures as well as delivering academic presentations and improving confidence in speaking in academic contexts.
