MUSC 2401 - Sight-Singing and Aural Skills I (1 cr.)
Prerequisites MUSC 1805 or a passing grade on the MUSC 1805 exemption exam.
Concurrent Description Students will review the elementary concepts of pitch and rhythmic notation. By the end of the semester, they will be able to sing melodies in major and minor tonalities, articulate rhythms in simple and compound meters, and vocally arpeggiate triads and seventh chords. Students will practice dictation as well as aural skills.
Notes Students must be able to match pitch within a 1-octave range.
