PHIL 000/2200 - Philosophy and Globalization (3 cr.)
Description This course introduces the student to the phenomenon known as Globalization. The course will highlight a historical as well as systematic perspective. The approach is based on an interdisciplinary methodology that emphasizes the economic, political, social, religious, and moral aspects of globalization since 1492 (the discovery of America and the expulsion from Al Andalusia) up until the present wave of the globalization process. The course is designed for students from all majors, in order that they may gain a general view of globalization - but especially one from a philosophical perspective.
