PHIL 505/5124 - Advanced Seminar in Phenomenology (3 cr.)
Description This course will begin by investigating the origins of phenomenology by means of a close reading of key selections from the work of Husserl. It shall then move on to consider Heidegger’s transformation of phenomenology. The work of later phenomenologists, such as Sartre, Merleau-Ponty, and Edith Stein, may also be discussed.
