PPAD 530/5152 - Conflict Prevention and Resolution (3 cr.)
Description This course focuses on international intervention and conflict management with the objective of assessing the policy implications of various conflict management strategies such as crisis management, mediation, peace-keeping, partition, humanitarian intervention (responsibility to protect) and prevention. In addressing these issues, the course will examine the application and outcomes in specific cases from the Middle East, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sri Lanka and Sub-Saharan Africa.
