PPAD 529/5151 - Issues in International Security (3 cr.)
Description Exploration of strategies and techniques for managing potential and active conflicts at the national and international levels, including such traditional and new threads to international security as inter-state territorial, intra-state ethnic-based, and violent transnational extremist groups, dispute over non-renewable resources, and climate change. Consideration of institutions and methods for managing each stage of the conflict process, from prevention and deterrence through conflict resolution and post-conflict rebuilding.
