PPAD 525/5127 - Reforming the Delivery of Social Policies in the Middle East (3 cr.)
Description How to address problems of poverty, unemployment and health care needs? Is everyone entitled for help? How to allocate scarce resources? This course addresses current debates pertaining to global models of social transfers; program design and implementation cycles; the nexus of employment and social protection policies; and questions pertaining to contributory and non-contributory schemes, food subsidies; and micro-insurance.
