Description This course covers the main methods to estimate oil-in-place and reserves such as volumetric methods and material balance. It explains the different natural drive mechanisms in reservoirs focusing on saturated, undersaturated, and gas reservoirs. The course covers the basics to understand the differences between steady-state, pseudo-steady state, and unsteady-state flow. Water influx calculations are also introduced. The course also introduces waterflood as a displacement mechanism.
