MOIS 508/5201 - Information and Communication Technology in Business (3 cr.)
Description Today’s electronic means, computing, networks and software applications have become an integral part of business. The premise of the course is that adequate knowledge of technology is now a prerequisite for a successful business owner or manager. This course is intended to provide a basic technical literacy, with an emphasis on implications for organizations. The technical component of the course includes data and voice communication networks, database structures as a significant tool for managing information, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, data modeling, data integration, data warehousing and data mining, as well as information support systems design, and computer security.
