FINC 410/4202 - Capital Markets (3 cr.)
Prerequisites .
Description The objective of this course is to provide students with a thorough understanding of the structure and mechanics of financial markets coupled with a practical perspective of the use of finacial tools and their applications. It will introduce students to capital markets with global applications to various financial instruments including debt, equity and derivative securities, such as forwards, futures, and options. The course, as well, aims to widen students understanding of the various risks encountered by financial institutions and the means by which they are mitigated and managed.
When Offered Offered in fall and spring. Notes Enrollment in courses is limited, and priority is given to students seeking the Bachelor of Business Administration degree or the Bachelor of Accounting degree, students enrolling in courses specified as collateral requirements in other majors, and students who have declared business administration as a minor.
