ENVE 567/5255 - Environmental Chemistry (3 cr.)
Description Chemical principles for quantitative solution of environmental engineering problems with a focus on aqueous systems. Concept of chemical equilibrium is developed to determine mass distribution of environmentally significant substances. Applications of acid-base, coordination, oxidation-reduction, and organic distribution reactions are developed for water and wastewater systems.
