MOIS 508/5201 - Information Technology in Business (3 cr.)



Description
The aim of this course is to highlight how Information technology has transformed many of our society’s sectors (including media, financial services, and retailing, among others) and the Way these technologies have changed not only the Way We produce services (i.e., off-shoring, outsourcing and their latest extension, cloud computing) but also the services We offer (in virtual Worlds, online advertising, long tail products and services, and even social networking). The course is as an introductory course on information technologies and may serve as a foundation on Which students can explore more advanced technology concepts that can improve the business &/or to start an entrepreneurship to explore new markets.
