MACT 210 - Statistics for Business Description The course aims at acquainting the students with the basic statistical methods in a business context. The course demonstrates the relevance of the statistical methods in making decisions in the different areas of business: accounting, finance, human resource management, marketing, operations, management of information systems, and more. The course covers the following: descriptive statistics, random variables and continuous probability distributions, sampling distributions, estimation and confidence intervals, one-sample hypothesis testing, inferences from two samples, Chi-Square tests, analysis of variance and simple linear regression.
