Cosmetics Formulation and Entrepreneurship Professional Diploma

The objective of the professional diploma in cosmetics formulation and entrepreneurship is to provide pharmacists, chemists and other individuals interested in cosmetic production with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully start and manage their own cosmetics startups. In addition, this professional diploma will expose the participants to the best resources related to the production, registration procedures, business and marketing tools leading to successful launch of the product in the Egyptian market. The diploma offers a thorough guide to cosmetology and a roadmap to becoming a professional cosmetics formulator and entrepreneur.

Diploma Requirements

To complete the requirements of the professional diploma in cosmetics formulation and entrepreneurship, the applicant must successfully complete the following three modules:

• Chemistry: fundamentals of cosmetics, products formulation and hands-on laboratory practice (at the Department of Chemistry, AUC)
• Cosmetics entrepreneurship (at AUC)
• Cosmetics products training: from laboratories to customer (at the Egyptian Drug Authority reference labs, EDA)

The applicant must also present a graduation project upon completing the three modules. Each module requires 21 contact hours. The applicant will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the diploma.
