MENG 2202  -  Introduction to Computational Thinking and Programming for Engineers Lab (1 cr.)

Description

This lab is intended for students with no programming background. It teaches students solving engineering problems via the principle of programming and computing employing a programming language and techniques of current use in engineering. Topics covered include data types, arithmetic, scripts, user-defined functions, inputs, outputs, conditionals, loops, arrays, and modular programming. An emphasis is given to the visualization and graphical representation. Basics of software engineering introduced (code maintenance, debugging, and documentation). Accuracy and speed are discussed as limitations of engineering computation.
