FILM 3201 - Directing Fiction Films (3 cr.)
Prerequisites FILM 3252 , FILM 3254 , and at least TWO courses of the Film Studies Required Courses: FILM 3110 , FILM 3130 , and FILM 3132
Description This practice-based course takes students through the various stages of fiction film production to explore the thinking behind every artistic and technical decision the filmmaker takes. Students will develop a deep understanding of the filmmakers’ tools and elements that form their vision and cinematic language. Students will learn different techniques in script analysis, visualization process, working with actors, managing crew, and creating audiovisual style.
