MACT 4980 - Senior Thesis (3 cr.)
Prerequisites Restricted to seniors.
Description The Senior Thesis serves as a culminating course that is intended in particular for senior students who may have the intention to pursue graduate studies or research-oriented careers. With the approval of a faculty advisor, students work independently under their guidance to plan and conduct deeper studies on a topic of contemporary interest. This research effort begins with creative inquiry and systematic research, includes documentation of substantive scholarly effort, and culminates in a written thesis and an oral defense. Students may choose to work alone or in a group of maximum 3 (in which case the contribution of each participant should be substantial and well identified).
