THTR 3104 - Drama in Context II: Modern to Contemporary (3 cr.)
Description This course examines theatrical works and their historical context from early modernity (turn of the nineteenth century) to contemporary texts and focuses on histories of global dramatic work. It explores the changes in certain dramatic genres within various cultures and across time. The course explores the nature of performances and their effects on various audiences and addresses the question of how dramatic texts are impacted by social and political change.
