EDUC 5201 - Foundations of Educational Research (3 cr.)
Description The fundamental aim of this course is to assist MA candidates to develop the knowledge and skills essential to the identification and critical evaluation of educational research relevant to their professional interests and contexts. In the process, learners will become familiar with fundamental concepts, principles, and techniques of educational research, differentiate between qualitative and quantitative educational research, distinguish between good and poor research, and apply basic research skills to develop research proposals.
Notes This pre-requisite course must be taken in the first or second semester of study.
