PHYS 112 - Electricity and Magnetism An introduction to electricity and magnetism covering the electric field, Gauss’s law, electric potential, capacitance, dc circuits, magnetic fields, Faraday’s and Ampere’s laws, time-varying fields, Maxwell’s equations in integral form and alternating currents. Prerequisites Prerequisites: PHYS 111, 123L, MATH 132 or concurrent. Concurrent with PHYS 124L. When Offered Offered in fall, spring and summer. (3 cr.)
