ECON 500/5251 - The Economic Setting for Development (3 cr.)
Description Does not count for credit in the M.A. degree in Economics. Foundation course dealing with macroeconomic variables and issues concerned with the functioning of an economy, in addition to selected microeconomic aspects pertinent to development. Special attention is given to concepts and tools applicable to challenges facing developing countries whose economies often lack the maturity of more developed countries in terms of institutional and policy settings.
