PHYS 279 - Computational Methods in Physics Linear systems of equations and matrices; eigenvalues and eigenvectors; numerical errors; numerical solution of linear and nonlinear equations; curve fitting; numerical differentiation and integration; numerical solution of ordinary differential equations; applications in various fields of physics. MATLAB will mostly be used as a programming language in the weekly computer laboratory sessions. Prerequisites Prerequisites: CSCE 106 and MACT 231.
