PENG 366 - Fluid and Rock Properties Physical Properties of the Rocks; Lithology, Porosity, Relative and effective Permeability, Capillary pressure and rock-fluid interactions; Petroleum Fluid properties, Gas behavior, Application of deviation factor to ideal gas law, Fundamentals of phase behavior: bubble point and dew point curves, retrograde, characterizing the reservoir fluid, Properties of reservoir fluids: Formation Volume Factor, Viscosity, Solution Gas-Oil Ratio, API gravity, specific gravity; and estimating gas, oil, and water properties from correlations.
