PSYC 430/4063 - Advanced community psychology: Applied research and service (3 cr.)
Prerequisites , and permission of instructor.
Description Provides an advanced introduction to theory and practice in community psychology, incorporating experiential community based learning as an integral part of the course requirements. Builds upon theories and concepts covered in Psychology 330 (Community Psychology) by introducing special topics of particular importance to Egypt. Topics and skills covered may relate to oppression and liberation, social action, stress and coping, needs assessment, program development, program evaluation, public policy or special populations such as refugees and persons with disabilities or mental illness.
