EGPT 459/5170 - Selected Topics in Cultural Resource Management and Museology (3 cr.)
Prerequisites Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
Description The course deals with different types of cultural heritage present in Egypt and their physical and cultural environment, and with the various methods of managing them in order to ensure their proper preservation while making them accessible to tourists and scholars. At the instructor’s discretion, the course may also provide an understanding of the role of museums in the modern world and the basic methodology and practice of museum management.
