MHRE 012 - Train the Trainer


Description/Outline This course explores why a company would hire a trainer. In short, companies do so to produce change; the trainer by default is an agent for change. Regardless of any results a trainer may accomplish, the bottom line is a measurable change in employees' performance. By the end of this course, attendees will be able to: implement the principles of adult learning; develop course material; use the appropriate TLRs; and evaluate teaching and learning.

  • Teaching and Learning Resources (TLR): How TLRs Contribute to Learning; Use of Specific TLRs; Preparation of Facilities and Training Aids
  • Assessing Learner Performance: Criteria for Good Assessment; Types of Assessment Items; Pitfalls of Assessment
  • Evaluating Teaching and Learning: Types of Evaluation; Typical Course Evaluation Concerns; Preparing End of Course Report; Identifying Instructor's Own Development
