Eligibility Criteria for Electronics Engineering Major Declaration from Within
|

|
To be considered for admission to the Electronics and Communications Engineering Major, candidates must have satisfied the following criteria:
- Candidates must have completed all the Criteria Courses (as listed below).
- Candidates must have achieved an Overall GPA of at least 2.75.
- Candidates with Transfer credits or Exempted from certain courses will only be considered after completion of at least 16 AUC credit hours of Criteria or Additional Courses (as listed below).
Criteria Courses (minimum 16-17 Credit Hours):
Additional Courses
Any of the PHYS, MACT, or Engineering Core Requirements from within the Electronics and Communications Engineering Curriculum.
Admission Index
The index is the GPA for all courses included in the Criteria and Additional courses with an Additional Increment of 0.01 per credit of successfully completed Additional courses as indicated in the following formula:
Index = GPA of (Criteria + Additional courses) + Additional Increment
Selection of Students
To fill in available places, students satisfying the above criteria will be prioritized according to the admission index.
