Eligibility Criteria for Construction Engineering Major Declaration from Within


To be considered for admission to the Construction Engineering Major, undeclared students, students changing major, or seeking a double major, must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Candidates must have completed all the Criteria Courses (as listed below).
  2. Candidates must have achieved an Overall GPA of at least 2.75.
  3. Candidates with Transfer credits or exempted from certain courses will only be considered after completion of at least 14 AUC credit hours of Criteria Courses (as listed below) or Additional Courses within the Construction Engineering Curriculum.

Any of the Construction Engineering Curriculum Requirements including PHYS or MACT; the following courses are recommended:

Admission Index:

The index is the GPA for all courses included in the Criteria and the Additional courses with an Additional Increment of 0.01 per credit of successfully completed Additional courses as indicated in the following formula:

Index = GPA of (Criteria+Additional courses) + Additional Increment

Selection of Students

To fill in available places, students satisfying the above criteria will be prioritized according to their admission index.
