Eligibility Criteria for Computer Engineering Major Declaration from Within

To be considered for admission to the Computer Engineering Major, candidates must have completed all of the following the Criteria Courses:
Admission Index
The admission index is based on the academic performance in the Criteria Courses listed above and any of the additional courses of Computer Engineering requirements. Any course taken towards the Computer Engineering requirements is considered in the Admission Index (excluding the core curriculum and general electives). An admission index is calculated for every student. The index is the GPA for all courses included in the Criteria and Additional Courses with an Additional Increment of 0.01 per credit of successfully completed Additional Courses, with a grade of B or above, as indicated in the following
Additional Increment = (0.01*Additional Credits)
Index = GPA of (Criteria + Additional courses) + Additional Increment
Admission Criteria
To fill in available places, students satisfying the following will be prioritized according to the admission index, followed by the OGPA when the admission index is identical:
- OGPA must be 2.75 or above.
- Must have achieved an admission index of 3.0 or above.
- Candidates with Transfer credits or exempted from certain courses will only be considered after completion of at least 14 AUC credit hours of criteria or additional credits.
