The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has a decades-long history of providing a variety of services and training programs as part of its commitment to help practicing engineers and engineering students strengthen their professional and managerial skills and develop their careers. Engineering and Science Services with the collaboration of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) enables engineers in Egypt and the Middle East to benefit from ASME training programs as follows:

  • Provides certificates of completion for all participants who register and successfully complete ASME courses offered at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
  • Records registered participant’s professional development hour (PDH) credits.
  • Maintains records of each registered participant’s PDH credits for a period of seven years.

Course Information

  • Each course consists of 30 hours of instruction.
  • Courses are offered either from 9:00 am to 3:15 pm or 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Courses can be taken individually while still accumulating PDH units. Upon completing six courses in a specific structure plus a capstone project, attendees can receive the Specialization Certificate in Pressure Vessels and Piping.

Specialization Certificate in Pressure Vessels and Piping

This certificate can be earned by completing the following requirements:

  • Complete two courses from group A. 
  • Complete two course of group B.
  • Complete two elective courses from groups A, B or C.
  • Complete a case study under the capstone project course PROJ01.
